The feelings of love. When it carries us...
Being in love is a powerful feeling that "carries us" regardless of our age and sexual orientation. You suddenly feel revitalized with new energy and there is intensity in the air. For most young people in adolescence, it becomes something crucial. Moreover, if this feeling is mutual, the pleasure increases tenfold because the teenager feels unique and special in the other's eyes. It is quite possible that young people do not recognize themselves in this restless state of love because they have never themselves felt such feelings. It is important not to create undue pressure. Love cannot be ordered. When it is present and, moreover, mutual, it carries us and gives us wings.
The feelings of love. When it derails....
Love, love is fine, some say. However, this feeling can bring its share of sadness when it is not mutual, no longer shared or distorted into a breach of trust. It can lead to distress, discouragement, and fear. Also, using the Internet to initiate dating can be a problem. Although this type of meeting makes it easy to interact with the other and the screen gives the illusion of being safe, the other person's identity can be suspicious. In short, the feeling of love is much more pleasant when it carries us than when it derails. Our role is to help teenagers experience this feeling, to prevent slip-ups and to find solutions, as needed.
