Explanation
Here you will find a series of short videos related to the chosen theme. You can choose to present one or more. For each of them, activity questions and content to remember are presented for discussion within the group.
The videos presented correspond to different viewpoints related to the theme of romantic feelings. When love carries us which tells of the great emotions that are experienced and when love derails which refers to heartaches and unhealthy relationships.
Educational objectives
- Using the videos, recognize the pros and cons of the different ways to approach a romantic relationship.
- Become aware of the situations or contexts that make a romantic relationship healthy or not.
- Reflect on ways to get over a heartache.
- Become aware of the importance of a date and/or a romantic relationship that is genuinely authentic, respectful and whole, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
Procedure
Before the activity
- Get acquainted with the videos and select those that are appropriate for your young people.
- Get acquainted with the Stimulus questions and What stands out sections for each of the selected videos.
- Get acquainted with the Key message.
- Print the necessary material as needed (What stands out, Stimulus questions, the Closing questions, and Key message).
- Plan rules of conduct that the young people will have to respect (e.g.: speaking out, respect for others, self-respect, etc.).
During the activity
- Present a video.
- Ask, in the main group, What stands out the most from the video? (Refer to What stands out)
- Ask the Stimulus questions that are related to the video.
- Repeat these three steps for each video presented.
- In the end, you can ask the more Closing questions and finish the workshop with the Key message.
